Abstract: Most Christian people cannot understand why I place so much trust and confidence in the Bible commentaries of Emanuel Swedenborg. The Lord called me in 1998 to these commentaries for my own study so that I may help edify and disciple others into His everlasting kingdom. At first, I argued and fought that this mumbo jumbo was from the devil. But as I finally began to read them, a new spiritual light and illumination began to come into my mind. It was as real to me as the call to serve as a hospital Chaplain. God’s love calls, and people respond by either accepting or rejecting it.

Most Christian people just assume Emanuel Swedenborg was just another cultist (Dictionary: A member of an unorthodox cult who generally lives outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader, religious figure in history). But they are missing the most important aspect of this debate about who Emanuel Swedenborg was and what God called him to do. All the Old Testament prophets and all the New Testament apostles are only mere men. They are, like all people, created receptacles of spiritual life from God. And in the end, they are either receptacles of the spiritual life of God, or the life of spiritual death from their own choosing.

The giants of faith, writers of prophecy, revelations, and history found in the Holy Bible, their names will not be remembered or found in heaven. They will be there, but their names will not. Those who ascend into heaven after the death of the body will be given new names, and their old names will be forgotten.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give to him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it” (Revelation 2:17 MKJV)

“Him who overcomes I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will go out no more. And I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of Heaven from My God, and My new name” (Revelation 3:12 MKJV)

“So that if anyone is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 MKJV)

To summarize, Emanuel Swedenborg was just another natural person living on the earth in a long lineage of people who were used by God to reveal TRUTH from heaven. And as in this case, of the plan and purpose of the creator. This shows us the creator is a kind, benevolent, and loving God in His tender mercies and His everlasting LOVE, and worthy to be praised.

The spiritual mission and calling of Swedenborg was to expound and reveal the TRUTH found in the Book of John 1:1,

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1)

This statement clearly says “the Word”, or the Holy Bible, is an inspired, spiritual guidebook about who the creator God is, what He is about, and what His purpose is in creating us. So this book is written in letters, sentences, paragraphs, and chapters, and hidden in it can be found all His holiness and glory.

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me,” (John 5:39 MKJV)

And it is our great privilege that by reading this book, we can have our minds and understanding lifted to see this wonderful Lord of Glory, so that when we leave our mortal natural body, we can be raised up and become a citizen of His eternal kingdom.

As the Second Advent or Appearing takes place, the hidden or spiritual meaning found within the letters, words, sentences, and paragraphs of the Holy Bible (as the angels of heaven comprehend it), will be revealed to those desiring to see it. This will form a spiritual bridge between the church in heaven (spiritual angels) and the church on the earth (natural people). This is the premise of this blog, the new emerging church on the earth!

And as the Second Advent or Appearing takes place, the Lord will finally assume His position as Lord of Lords, and king of Kings, and officially in the eyes of all, the God of heaven and of the earth. Although when or how this takes place, only the Lord knows (Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32).

This should be, and will be, of the greatest joy among those of the Christian faith. This will finally be the fulfillment of the Jewish Jubilee, which has never taken place until this day. Christ the man, Jesus the Lord, will be celebrated and honored. The church on earth and the church in heaven will exalt and rejoice in tears of happiness! Amen.

“For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him” (Colossians 1:16 AMP)
